Julie is a writer who moonlights as an artist—or is it the other way around?
After studying English Literature and Creative Writing at Concordia University in Montreal, she moved to London for a gap year and ended up staying in the UK for over a decade. Following the birth of her son, she returned to Canada and settled in Toronto.
Formerly a featured contributor at HuffPost, Julie has worked as a freelance writer since 2011, with a focus on wellness, mental health, parenting, and special needs.
Her writing has been published in the Washington Post, HuffPost, Globe and Mail, Healthline, Chatelaine, Today's Parent, and more.
She has appeared on various TV and radio shows, including CTV's Canada AM, BBC Radio, CBC Radio, Sirius XM's Canada Talks, and HuffPost Live.
When she is not writing, Julie can be found painting in her home studio. Her artwork is contemporary and minimalistic—characterized by clean lines and vibrant colours. Pop Art meets Group of Seven.
Julie lives in Kingston, Ontario, with her husband, teenager, and bulldog.
